Today We Celebrate 4 Months Under Our Belt!!

Wow! What a four months it has been! When we first contemplated opening up a storefront this time last year we were in the midst of the economic fallout and the future ahead was filled with uncertainty. It was our faith in community and a belief that Portland's enthusiasm for conscious eating was on the rise that encouraged us to move forward onto Alberta St.  Never did we anticipate such an incredible reception nor the immediate affirmation that NE Portland wanted and needed another vegan bakery.  Looking ahead 2010 is going to be a thrilling adventure filled with new connections, sustainable prosperity and lots of tasty  treats!!

From the start we have wanted all of you, our customers, to feel invested in our success and to view Back to Eden as your very own neighborhood bakery. The feedback that you all provide is invaluable to our continued success and we have already begun to implement some new features from your suggestions. People have asked for more hot beverage options and now you have Chai, Hot Chocolate, Spiced Cider and Cafe au Lait to choose from. You have also mentioned your desire to have more savory, lunch options which we are more than happy to get creative with. Stay tuned for new developments in the coming months and please keep the feedback coming! We so greatly appreciate all the support you have shown us and we couldn't be more pleased to be part of this beautiful and inspiring community!

Haiti Fundraising Was A Success!!

Good Morning Everybody!

Thanks for making last weekend so successful. We donated 10% of  our sales from Thurs-Sun to Mercy Corps' earthquake relief efforts in Haiti. Special thanks to Milagros Boutique for organizing this  and getting so many NE Portland businesses to join in. In addition, on Sunday, January 31st Back to Eden will be participating in a bake sale for Haiti organized by Isa Chandra Moskowitz at People's Food Coop. Let's keep the fundraising efforts going and thanks for all generosity and support!
