First and foremost I am excited to announce that our newest addition to the New Seasons Market line is a Chai Latte cupcake! While I currently have no photo of it I will soon and I can assure you with the amazing black chai tea infused cake I created and the addicting chai spice blend John created for buttercream it will become your new favorite. Speaking of favorite... I have a new one. I have never been a huge fan of chai lattes (excluding those of the cupcake variety), and it wasn't until recently that I discovered what all the fuss was about! There is a fair trade, organic tea on the market called gypsy tea! It is sensational in my opinion. I came across the chai tea the other day by accident when I was looking for a black tea to wake me up in the morning seeing as I am trying to cut back on my coffee intake lately, which is hard to do now that I know where to find raven's brew(I'm getting ahead of myself, that's a whole other blog). I read the label and all the spices sounded amazing yet it still didn't click in my head that it was chai. When I got it home I realized that it said right on the front of the tin in big bold letters..... CHAI BLACK TEA. How I missed that in the store I may never know? I was a little let down at first but then I remembered all the amazing spices in it and said what the hell... it's got to be good. So I brewed it up added a hint of agave and a splash of soymilk and within aninstant I had my new favorite tea! So it seems that as of late, things have been a lot of this, a lot of that, and a lot of chai! Blessings to all and Happy Autumn.
